I have a horrible tendency to not keep up with blogs. But no. This time I shall keep this blog! I'm going to fill it with lists, things I'd like to achieve, ideas, inspiration and the general things I want to write somewhere but never felt I could.
I'm 21, so let's start with 21 facts about me:
1) I love photography, and for a long time I thought it was my entire life. It is a big part of my life, but I've realised that there is more to life than creating a fairy-tale.
2) Penguins are my favourite animal. They have a harsh old life, do dear penguins, but they get on. And there is something strangely endearing about something that walks so clumsily on land.
3) I also love space, I do without a doubt believe that there is other life out in the universe. I think it is so beautiful out there, something else on their own planet must be looking up and wondering about us too.
4) My feet are too small for my body, size 3-4, but they keep me upright most of the time.
5) I'm obsessed with pastel colours, glitter, fairy-tale things, cupcakes, cuteness and lipstick.
6) I like electronic music because I'm attracted to certain sounds, sometimes I will play a song on repeat just so I can hear a certain sound over and over.
7) I'm not that into food, I drink a lot of tea, but I can easily forget to eat and I don't get a lot of joy from it. The only times I'm excited about eating is when it's Christmas Day, it's a McDonalds, when JB has cooked meatballs or when someone comes with me to Zizzi's to also eat meatballs. Oh, and cake.
8) I'm very family orientated. I don't like leaving my family for too long and I'm happiest when they are all around. If someone didn't like my family, then I would have trouble being friends with them.
9) I haven't drawn properly since my Art A-level, the teachers hated my drawing. I'm not really sure if I could start drawing again without ripping it up and making snow out of it.
10) I can't leave my hair alone, I need to change it frequently. I feel naked without pretty colours on my head!
11) Manly men do freak me out a bit, I tend to get on with people better when they are feminine. It's probably because manly men don't appreciate the wonders of Irregular Choice shoes. I also freak out a bit when I look too manly, I promise I am a girl! I just have big shoulders!
12) I'm really impressed by little things, not so impressed by big things. Big things are nice; cars, big houses, pools and that sort of thing. But I'm much happier with little things like a nice little house, acorns, sea shells, hand-made gifts, letters. I'm sure you get the idea. I especially love letters.
13) I lack the ability to tell when others are bored, I'm not often bored, so sometimes I'm not really sure if it's just me that is content. I'm also not very good at knowing when to feel awkward, some people don't like awkward silences, but I thought silence was pretty natural. I worry some people are feeling awkward and I'm still totally content with said silence.
14) I love having visitors. Models, make-up artists, designers, friends, family or anyone really. People are fascinating and I love knowing about them. I guess I'm a bit nosey too, but I am always surprised and intrigued by others and enjoy company.
15) Though I'm happy with my own company too. Sometimes I like not to speak to anyone at all, not out of being anti-social, just because I like thinking by myself.
16) Someone said to me recently 'Do what makes you happy'. It made me realise that I've not really been doing what makes me happy, but doing what I am expected to do. This new year I am going to do what makes me happy, I'm going to gut my wardrobe and wear lipstick again too.
17) I'm supposed to be almost 5'6, but I walk with a bit of a hunch, so I look more like 5'4.
18) I have a selection of films that I like to watch at certain times. Like when I'm feeling ill films, when I'm feeling happy films, when I'm watching with someone films, and so on.
19) In the past I thought I would have no want for film photography, but I am glad I started getting into it more. I love my holga camera, it always makes unpredictable photos.
20) I love watching shit TV. There's just something so addictive about America's Next Top Model or Maury.
21) I have a terrible memory, so now I just write things down to remember!
